Face the Truth—Choose the Best Path

“But you desire honesty from the heart, so you can teach me to be wise in my inmost being.” Psalm 51:6

God wants me to be honest with myself and with Him. Then I’ll know how to repent from going my own selfish way, and I can begin to know what God’s way is. To go God’s way is wisdom from above—pure, peace-loving, gentle, willing to yield, impartial, sincere, and full of mercy and good fruits (James 3:17).

A woman of integrity—honest through and through—walks uprightly, doing what God wants, living wisely as a child of the light.

My prayer: Dear Father, please teach me thorough honesty. Amen.

In Psalm 25:4 the psalmist prays “Show me the path where I should go, O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow.” Then in Psalm 32:8, God promises: “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Yes!

Teach me to go Your way, not my way.

O may I listen and be quick to obey!

Please correct me quickly when I go astray,

So I will come back and do what You say.

. . .

God shows me which road I should travel.

He lights the way one step at a time.

He leads on life’s adventurous journey.

Wonderful Counselor! Savior Divine!
