  1. Hi Tricia, yes I do agree with T.E Hanna it is not God who Temps us to do evil or hardens our hearts so we won’t obey Him and this is a Truth I have shared more than once on Blogs as Jesus lead me to understand it. When God gives us His guidelines and we continually ignore and disobey them like Pharaoh did by refusing to let the Israelites leave even when asked to by Moses many times, this hardens our heart as it did his, yes it is indeed our choice, God created us to reap what we sow but it was never His will that we do evil it was for good rewards but it is now a warning to stop the evil we are doing, to come to our senses and repent.

The Hebrew Translations into English does confuse some people as T.E explained, this is why we need God’s wisdom not mans but when they are seeking Jesus to Teach and Lead them we can be very blessed by what they share because it will be confirmed in Scripture.

I have been told that God stopped Pharaoh from obeying Him deliberately so His plans would be fulfilled, God does not tempt us to do evil but He did know Pharaoh would never summit to His will and so His power was shown because of this to encourage His people and also Moses was then accepted and respected as their Leader…. God brings good from evil but does not cause it.

James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that Love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

2 Timothy2:19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that nameth the Name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
