Immanuel–God With Us

“Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.” (Psalm 73:23 NIV)

Thank You, Lord, that You always hold me by my right hand as I walk through each day. When what I do seems just routine, You are with me. You know everything I think and do. May I bring honor to You even in the everyday things. If I stumble, You pick me up and steady me. When I face challenges, I’m encouraged by Your firm grip of my hand. And as Psalm 23:4 says, I will fear no evil because You are with me.

“But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the sovereign Lord my refuge….”Psalm 73:28 NIV)

I praise and thank You, Lord, that although You are sovereign over all the earth and heavens, You have made the way for me to draw near to You in Christ. Indeed, how good it is to be near You! Amen.

Psalm 138:6: “Though the LORD is great, he cares for the humble….” (New Living Translation)

You are my help. You, the Maker of heaven and earth, are here—always and everywhere, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 121). I love You, Lord, for Your greatness which is great enough to care for even me.

Struggle to Obey

“The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you….” (Deuteronomy 31:3 NIV)

No fear.

Lord God, I struggle to obey your command to be strong and courageous. Yet, You have promised that wherever I go, You go before me. You “cross over” ahead of me, whatever Jordan I cross over. You prepare the way.

You have told us not to be afraid or terrified because You, the Lord our God, go with us. You will never fail us in any way or for any reason. Holy Spirit, when I’m tempted to fear, please prompt me to remember these truths. I can choose strength and courage because You fill me with Your power, love, and a sound mind. Thank You, Lord.

Let me forget my failures from the past, though they are many; but let me remember Your love, Lord, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen.

(See Deuteronomy 31:1-7 and 2 Timothy 1:7.)

God Is for Us

I will bless you every day, and I will praise you forever….  Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy of your righteousness.…  They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign. (Psalms 145:2, 7, 12 New Living)

Our God is for us. He’s not against us.

He will be with us whatever we face.

Jesus saves and keeps us. His Spirit will guide us.

In trials and temptations, He gives us grace.

So let’s sing His praises to all who will listen

So they will know of the mighty God we serve.

We’ll tell them that they, too, can come to the Savior

To have life eternal and real life on earth.

My mouth shall tell of Your righteous acts and of Your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is more than I know. (Psalms 71:15 Amplified)
